Mogadishu,(insidesomalia.org)-Mohamed Omar Habeb Mohamed Dhere, commissioner for the regional Banadir administration will be resigning from his post within days reliable sources in the Somali government told Mareeg online.

As the state's top official Mohamed Dhere headed one of the main government agencies providing the security and the service of Somali capital although the government is weak.

His resignation will take effect within and was announced in the midst of statewide preparations for nomination of his successor.

"You may be asking yourselves why the government is making this announcement this in advance," government official told Mareeg online” He couldn’t accomplish his job properly”

Official in his administration confirmed to Mareeg online that Mr.Dhere will entrust his post to the senior Somali government in particular Somali PM Nor Hassan Husein aka Nor Adde.

Mohamed Omar Habeb, a former warlord better known as “Mohamed Dhereand intelligence chief Mohamed Warsame Darwish are in charge of security in Mogadishu. As such, they led instigators of the heavy-handed raids, arbitrary arrests and deliberately shootings used to harass the few journalists still operating in Somalia, especially when the journalists expose abuses by the military or interview government opponents. Coordinating their activities with the commander of the Ethiopian forces in Somalia, Gen. Gabre Heard, they often exceed the orders they get from a civilian government that proclaims its commitment to press freedom but has little power.

As they have carte blanche to combat the Islamist rebels, they see press freedom as a danger. And they are free to ignore the law.

In early May, 2007, the Transitional Federal Government named him both the governor and mayor of Banadir and Mogadishu, respectively.

Before the TFG He was a leader of the Somali Reconciliation and Restoration Council (SRRC) in the 200s1-2004 time period, and the Alliance for the Restoration of Peace and Counter-Terrorism (ARPCT) in 2006.
